Scope utilizes a scrolling narrative and an interactive 3D model to study the intersection of linear and non-linear spatial descriptions. The piece was inspired by Walter Benjamin's writing, 'To live is to leave traces...In the interior these are emphasized. An abundance of covers and protectors, liners and cases is devised, on which the traces of objects of everyday use are imprinted.' Visitors were invited to become producers in the narrative construction and their patterns of input were then recorded and visualized. |
